The Aston Martin DB11 has little competition in the lofty place it holds among super cars. Prospective owners can expect to pay a little more than $210,000 for the privilege of owning the DB11. The Aston competes with the likes of the Bentley Continental GT, while the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso could also be considered a rival, but costs somewhat more, starting around $300,000. The Aston Martin DB11 offers a sportier driving experience than the Bentley, while arguably being better looking than either car it competes against. All three offer incredible levels of luxury and while anything at this price qualifies as exclusive, the DB11 is on another level of both rare and desirable.
Beautiful but modern styling; powerful engine choices; luxurious interior; cornering capabilities
At the heart of the DB11 is a brand-new 5.2L V12 engine quipped with two turbochargers. The engine produces 600 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. V12-equipped DB11s will hit 60 mph in 3.8 seconds while topping out at a blistering 208 miles per hour. V8 equipped models are also robust and impressive providing a lighter option that improves cornering capabilities and a stout 503 horsepower clocking in at 4.0 seconds flat 0 to 60 miles per hour. Those numbers sound like supercar numbers but remember: the DB11 will do all of this all the while surround the passengers in unparalleled luxury.
For 2018, there is only one trim level in the DB11 lineup, but it offers tons of standard features as well as a plethora of customization options. Want a gold finish on the underside of the hood? Aston Martin can do that. Aston Martin offers leather options including Caithness or Balmoral, which according to Aston Martin, is hand-selected from the top ten percent of raw hides, as well as hand-milling for an incredibly soft feel. Selecting the Celestial Perforation option adds intricate perforation designs in those leather seats and throughout the rest of the leather clad interior.
Other notable options on the DB11 include somewhat whimsical items such as a 4-piece set of custom luggage or a custom umbrella. More conventional options include a heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, an automatic parking system, an active spoiler and a vast selection of 20-inch wheels. Aston Martin also offers a performance driving course for anyone who really wants to try their new DB11 near its limits out on a race track.
After the debut of the DB11 as a brand-new model for Aston Martin, a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of 503 horsepower is now available as an additional powertrain choice this year. A hands-free trunk opening feature comes standard while blind-spot monitoring and additional carbon-fiber and wood trim accents arrive as optional equipment.
