Athletic V8 engine option; roomy interior; comfortable ride; luxury-style interior touches; available all-wheel drive
The Chrysler 300 family comes in Touring, Touring L, 300S, 300S Limited, and 300C trim. A pair of powertrains are available, enabling the Chrysler 300 to run the gamut from affordable, spacious and high-value mid-size to serious luxury and performance tourer. The base powertrain on the Chrysler 300 is a 3.6L V6 that makes 292 horsepower. The optional 363-horsepower 5.7L Hemi V8 engine is flex-fuel compatible. All models come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The available all-wheel-drive system combines an active transfer case for seamless response when traction is required and a front-axle disconnect to help improve fuel economy when grip is sure.
In any of its variants, the 300 is a spacious sedan with a comfortable ride, supportive seating and a back seat with enough headroom and legroom for adults. Trunk space is cavernous and the interior is very well isolated from road and wind noise.
The base Touring model is the definition of affordable luxury. It comes well-equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated power mirrors, AM/FM/Satellite stereo with an 8.4-inch touch-screen display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Connectivity, 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hot Spot, Bluetooth, an electronically auto-dimming rearview mirror and cloth-trimmed seats. The 300's strong safety feature list includes traction control, stability control and brake enhancing Ready Alert and Rainy Day brake support. Front, side and a driver's knee airbags are also standard as well as a ParkView rear back-up camera.
The 300S comes standard with a slightly more powerful version of the 3.6L V6, making 300 horsepower. Power driver and passenger seats and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels are all standard on the 300S. The 300S, like the 300C, is also available with the bigger 5.7L V8 engine.
The 300C adds exterior chrome trim, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, heated rear seats and 20-inch wheels.
The Limited trim is loaded with leather seats, hand-sanded wood accents and 20-inch wheels.
Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, advanced brake assist, blind spot and cross path detection, lane departure warning plus, full speed forward collision warning system, and a ParkSense Front/Rear Park Assist system.
The Chrysler 300 gets only minor updates for the 2020 model year. The biggest news is the addition of a Red S Appearance Package which is available on 300S models. It mostly adds some unique badging, including red inserts into the Chrysler Wing badge that spans the front grille, but more noticeable are the 20-inch wheels also included with the package. Buyers who opt in are also given the option of having their interior done up in red.
The 300 presents a luxury big-car design and style at an affordable price. The car retains Audi-inspired exterior styling but features more Chrysler-like pricing. The lineup of powerful engines and available all-wheel drive mean the 300 also has performance credibility to match its style. Inside, a comprehensive list of standard equipment as well as safety technology means the 300 competes above its class in both features and price.

Dynamic Test Result: No Tip
Risk of Rollover: Not Rated
Note Regarding Driver Rating:
Male: Average sized adult male dummy in 35-MPH crash into fixed barrier. Rating is evaluation of injury to head, neck, chest, legs. Female: Small-sized adult female dummy in 35-mph crash into fixed barrier. Rating is evaluation of injury to head, neck, chest, legs.
Rollover Note: Dynamic (moving) test results (Tip or No Tip) and measured rollover-related properties determine vehicle's risk of rollover in single vehicle crash and its rollover rating. The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is.
