Spacious and comfortable interior; three rows of seating; relatively compact outer dimensions; advanced drivetrains; hybrid option; smooth, sleek styling
The Chrysler Pacifica is available with just one engine, the 3.6L "Pentastar" V6. This engine is used throughout Chrysler and Dodge's lineups for a few very good reasons: it's powerful, it's fuel efficient and it's refined. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. With 287 horsepower on tap, the Pacifica is perhaps a little faster than it really needs to be, but on-ramps and merging should be a snap. Chrysler claims up to 28 mpg on the highway with this engine. For those who want even better fuel economy, there's the Pacifica Hybrid. With the ability to run on electricity alone for up to 33 miles, the Pacifica Hybrid is the first hybrid-powered minivan available in the U.S.
The Pacifica comes in four different trim levels that take it from somewhat basic to full-on luxury.
The base Pacifica Touring comes with several notable standard features, including keyless entry, heated exterior mirrors, 17-inch steel wheels, a backup camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a 60/40 split-fold third-row seat, a USB media hub, dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker stereo with noise cancellation, voice command-activated Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The Touring Plus trim costs just a smidge more than the LX and features powered sliding doors, SiriusXM satellite radio and automatic high beams. The Touring L trim adds leather seating surfaces, nicer wheels, a power rear liftgate, heated first-row seats, and additional exterior chrome.
The Touring L Plus ups the ante even more and really starts to take the Pacifica into luxury vehicle territory. It adds a Uconnect theater system with wireless streaming, a 13-speaker Alpine sound system, a power front passenger seat, heated second row seats, and a heated steering wheel.
The top-of-the-line Limited version adds Napa leather seating surfaces, ventilated front seats, power third-row seats, a navigation system, hands-free powered liftgate and sliding side doors, a built-in vacuum cleaner and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof.
Pacifica Hybrid models are offered only in Touring Plus, Touring L and Limited trims.
Options are generous on the Pacifica, and several notable packages are also available. Stand-outs include a 760-watt Harman/Kardon 20-speaker stereo, dual panoramic sunroofs, an advanced safety package with all manner of electronic safety aids and a tow package that includes a trailer sway control system to keep everything in check out back.
The Pacifica carries over into 2020 with relatively few changes, however several of the basic option packages have been removed settling at four total trim choices starting with the Touring model. A dual panoramic sunroof can now be equipped on all gas models while hybrid equipped Pacifica's get a honeycomb-style grille.
The Chrysler Pacifica starts at under $33,500, where it competes with other minivans such as the Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odyssey, both of which it manages to undercut on price. However, the entire minivan segment holds a ton of value, by virtue of being cheaper to own and operate than the myriad medium and large SUVs out in the world. The Chrysler Pacifica combines a lot of space, with relatively compact and easy-to-park exterior dimensions, along with a curb weight that makes car-like mpg figures a reality. The Pacifica is also available with a ton of luxurious and entertaining features, which will really show their value on long road trips with children. No matter the equipment level, the Pacifica is a fantastic value.

Rollover Note: Dynamic (moving) test results (Tip or No Tip) and measured rollover-related properties determine vehicle's risk of rollover in single vehicle crash and its rollover rating. The Rollover Resistance Rating utilizes a "fishhook" maneuver which is a series of abrupt turns at varying speeds to see how "top-heavy" a vehicle is.

Summary:
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles ("PHEV"). The 12 volt isolator post located behind the driver's seat may develop high resistance.
Consequence:
A high resistance electrical connection may result in the connection overheating, increasing the risk of a fire with the vehicle on or off.
Remedy:
FCA will conduct a voluntary safety recall on affected vehicles to increase the torque and install a waterproof gasket to the 12v isolator post, the post will also be inspected for signs of contamination. In the event the post is compromised, the 12v isolator post and associated cables will be replaced. Until the final remedy is available, customers should bring their vehicles to dealers for an interim inspection of this joint. The recall remedy is currently under development. FCA US LLC will notify owners, and dealers will perform an interim inspection of this joint. If the inspection indicates the joint is compromised, owners will receive a loaner vehicle, until a final remedy is developed. Interim notifications are expected to begin around June 22, 2020.
