The 2020 Genesis is available as an AWD or RWD model, the Premium trim is powered by a 365-horsepower 3.3L twin-turbocharged V6 while the Limited trim draws its power from a 420-horsepower 5.0L V8, both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Being a luxury car, the Genesis, even in the base 3.3 Premium trim, comes packed full of equipment that is typically optional in lesser vehicles. Standard equipment includes heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and Nappa leather-upholstered power 12-way adjustable heated and ventilated front seats. Buyers get a choice of wood or metal paneling on the interior, standard automatic dual-zone climate control with separate rear controls, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth and voice-command control interfaces, LED interior lighting, a proximity-based entry system and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The audio system includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 17-speaker Lexicon sound system with SiriusXM and HD radio compatibility and a navigation system that includes traffic updates.
The 5.0 V8-equipped trim is even more opulent and includes a 7-inch LCD display in the instrument panel, a second-row 10.30-inch monitor, a rear entertainment system with DVD and digital media capabilities, ventilated power rear seats with lumbar and a front and rear seat memory system.
Standard safety features are numerous and include 10 airbags, Surround View Monitor cameras, intelligent adaptive cruise control with full start/stop functionality, High Beam Assist (HBA), Dynamic Bending Light directionally adaptive headlights, a Parking Distance Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Driver Attention Warning and a Safe Exit Assist (SEA).

The Genesis G90 returns for 2020 with a host of upgrades to improve both the exterior styling of the car as well as the interior aesthetics and technology. Genesis claims that all the body panels, except the roof and the doors, are different for the 2020 car. The front fascia has been heavily revised with a new grille and what Genesis are calling a Quad Lamp design for the lighting. The wheels are also new, incorporating some of the patterns seen in the grille and throughout the rest of the car into their design. On the tech front, the 2020 G90 gets rear cross-traffic alerts as well as a collision avoidance assist system. But the biggest change is probably to the infotainment system, which is newer, larger and faster for 2020. Active noise cancellation has also been added for 2020, helping to make the Genesis G90 even more serene and comfortable than it was last year.

The Genesis G90 is a full-sized luxury car similar in size and equipment to the base BMW 7-Series and the Mercedes S-Class. However, the base price of the G90 undercuts those competitors making it a bargain of a luxury car. For those willing to overlook a little bit of brand snobbery, the Genesis represents an excellent value, offering a terrific luxury and performance value ratio than anything in its segment.
